KIDS KLUB
Overview
An After-School Adventure
Kids Klub is an enrichment and recreation based after-school program operated by College Station I.S.D. Our purpose is to provide quality, after-school programming for the families of College Station at an affordable price. Our goal is to put forth experiences that foster positive development that will carry into academic and behavior success in the classroom. The program serves school-aged children kindergarten through sixth grade students at each elementary and intermediate school in the College Station Independent School District.
Our Program
Kids Klub participants are grouped according to grade to ensure their engagement in age-appropriate activities; kindergarten - 1st grade are assigned to JR Club, 2nd - 4th to SR Club, and 5th-6th are grouped together on the intermediate campuses. Each day once students are accounted for, they will transition through outside free time, gym games, small activities (i.e. crafts, small games, tubs, board games, computer), and optional homework time. Kids Klub is unable to provide formal tutoring, but we do facilitate the opportunity for students to complete their homework.
Wednesdays are dedicated to providing enrichment based clubs. Our clubs are designed for small group interactions with an emphasis on one particular theme or subject area. They are scheduled in six week modules and will rotate throughout the year. Please visit your student's specific site information page to view the current clubs being offered.

Achievements
Working for Kids Klub taught me many things but most importantly it made me experience what I learned about in several of my RPTS course. It is definitely a very hands-on internship and it challenges you from day one. Having full responsibility of their safety and experience I quickly learned to work with a large number of kids with a wide range of personalities. That alone lead to many different situations that simply taught me to read situations and quickly solve them in a way that I would have never thought of before. I highly recommend this position as it is both fun and challenging!
